Mukhtar Gharib
Sr. Adv. Mukhtar started his career by serving the nation as a soldier in the UAE for eight years. While in service, he decided to study law at Alexandria University in Egypt, where he graduated with honors in 1995. He began his legal career as an associate at Al Mudharb Law Firm, where he worked for four years with the UAE's first lawyer, Advocate Abdulrahman Al Mudharb. In 2002, he established Al Gharib and Associates Advocates and Legal Consultants, which has now become Al Gharib and Partners Advocates and Legal Consultants LLC.
Mukhtar specialized in Family Law since 1998 and representing clients in cases involving divorce, custody, inheritance, wills and guardianship. He has several articles published on various legal issues, including the “Evolution of Sharia Law in Muslim Countries” published by a prominent magazine company in Paris “Juriste International”, as well as personal status issues such as alimony, civil rights and commercial issues.

- In 2002, he obtained the first judgment on the fee for breast-feeding, i.e. the mother's entitlement to a fee for breastfeeding her child, from the Personal Status First Instance Court in Dubai, and it was upheld by the Courts of Appeal and the Court of Cassation.
- In 2011, he obtained the first judgment proving parentage of a child from a Christian father and a Muslim mother in the Arab and Islamic world. From the Cassation Court in Dubai.
- In 2014, he obtained the first judgment for the custody of a girl for her adoptive father in the Islamic world, from the Cassation Court in Dubai.
- In 2018, he obtained the first judgment of joint custody in the Arab world, using the Spanish Family Law, from the Personal Status Appeal Court in Dubai, and it was upheld by the Cassation Court in Dubai.
- The creator and general supervisor of the program "The Lawyers," as well as one of its interlocutors, which aired on "Al Dhafra" channel in the UAE for one season.
- The creator of the "Lawyers" program, general supervisor, and chairman. Which began airing in September 2020 and every two weeks in the Arab Countries through the “Zoom Webinar”, and it is published on the social networking platform “YouTube”.
- The creator and manager of the "Virtual Council for UAE Lawyers," which is broadcast via the "Zoom Meeting" every Friday to all working and training state lawyers to discuss the law and the most recent amendments made to it. Among the most unique episodes was one featuring a discussion between the President of the Dubai International Financial Courts (a judge) and a lawyer practicing common law in the United Kingdom and holding a PhD in comparative law. This episode aimed to broaden the perceptions of lawyers working and training in the UAE on the different types of law and court systems, comparing them with Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) and court systems in European countries.
